WE ARE A COMPETITIVE CLUB THAT PARTICIPATES IN THE
PIERCE COUNTY JUNIOR WRESTLING LEAGUE
One of the greatest benefits your athlete will gain from participating in our wrestling program is the life skills they will develop. These skills include time management, self-discipline and sportsmanship. Your athlete will reap the benefits of wrestling long after their competitive participation ends, not only from what they have learned but also by the relationships they have built along the way.
We also offer a CAPS Half Season and an opportunity for Middle Schoolers to still participate. Please look below our Club registration to find out more info and to register for these two options.
WHITE RIVER WRESTLING CLUB
Club wrestling season follows the rules and participates in the tournaments associated with Pierce County Junior Wrestling League. We also attend outside tournaments through USA Wrestling. USA Tournaments are optional and at your expense.
Season runs October through January while also preparing for Folkstyle State at the end of February. Joining Club also includes our Freestyle/Greco season that begins in March (optional).
Club Registration $225
- Registration includes: Tournament Costs, Warmups, Singlet, and Practice Space.
- You will also need headgear, wrestling shoes and USA Membership.
- Needed for registration: Birth Certificate, Current Report Card, USA Wrestling Membership.
Volunteering: Each family will be required to volunteer 4 hours through the season. This is per family NOT participant.
If you wish not to volunteer, there is a $250 buyout option at the time of registration only.
Caps (Half Season)
CAPS Wrestling is a beginner's program that is provided by the White River Junior Wrestling Program. We call this our Half Season. This program is for kids who are beginners or who would just like to give wrestling a try.
If your child is loving wrestling, they can easily transition into our league and continue past the half season. Half Season ends with our league Turkey Tournament that is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Tournaments are optional.
Registration cost is $50.
Singlet is provided day of tournament and you will return it at the end of the tournament.
NEEDED: Wrestling shoes, headgear and USA Membership.
Middle school
This year Pierce County Junior Wrestling League is offering a Middle School Division. In order to participate in certain League sanctioned tournaments, you must be rostered with a Club. Middle schoolers up to the age of 14 years old can participate in the League Round Robins, Tough Guy, Holiday and Backlash.
Registration will include League tournament fees and training up to the State Championship on February 22nd. A singlet is optional to purchase but it is not required to have a WR singlet. Any USA tournaments outside of League including State Championship is your financial responsibility.
Registration Cost is $125. Singlet is optional for an additional $50.
